If you want an attractive yet very hardwearing floor, then Polished Porcelain is for you.

Porcelain is made up of 50% feldspar (feldspar is the name of a group of rock-forming minerals that make up as much as 60% of the Earth’s crust) and is fired at a much higher temperature than regular ceramic tiles.

It’s this process that makes porcelain much harder and denser than other clay based products, made from porcelain clays using the dust pressed method our porcelain range is suitable for light to heavy traffic in commercial or residential application. It can go anywhere and everywhere and it won’t let you down.

Porcelain tiles are non-porous so you don’t have to worry about sealants as water cannot penetrate the surface of the tile, meaning it can’t be damaged by water, they are strong and durable which makes them great for high traffic areas especially commercial installations such as hotels, showrooms and shopping centers. They are frost-resistant; can cope with sub-zero temperatures and won’t crack; they are also the best heat reactors – so they work well with underfloor heating.

Strange as it may sound, porcelain is classed as a ‘hygienic’ tile which is why hospitals always use them, grime and dirt can’t penetrate the tile and provide an environment ideal for bacteria to prosper. Finally – cleaning is easy because you can use the majority of cleaning products on it, without worrying that it might damage the tile surface.
